When I started this blog, I was very excited to keep running and to start working towards a marathon. Unfortunately, my foot has been injured and I haven't been able to run much for two weeks. I attempted a run yesterday and was able to do 30 minutes without pain. So went out again today, and it hurt immediately. I'm pretty sure it's a stress fracture, so I'll have to stay off it until it heals completely.
In the mean time, instead of writing about running, I'll write about my other athletic activities. I swam a couple times last week to get some exercise without putting weight on my foot, and that went pretty well, so over the next few weeks, swimming and biking (to campus) will be my primary exercise routines.
When I'm exercising, I feel happier and more capable of most things, so I will make a concerted effort over the next two weeks to work swimming into my schedule. It may not be as exciting to write about, but it will have to suffice for now.
